💠 HuGe VisiON

Humane Genealogy Visualizer in Open Networks

Goal: Present a dynamically updated and as large and accurate as possible genealogy tree which can be browsed online. Draw data from both social networks and research databases.

Resources: Can be co-developed with and use UST as a base. And then lots of clever code to trim off duplicate nodes and match connections with conceptions correctly

Calculating the size of nodes

The estimated maximum size of the human population provided by UN is 11.2 billions.

To have a unique ID for each we need 234 bits, which is 17,179,869,184 in decimals. 233 is a bit low at 8,589,934,592. That means, 2,147,483,648 bytes, or just above 2 GB of memory.

Remaining is to calculate the total size including dates and relational pointers

If we want to use universal time, the span is 13,799,000,000±20,000,000 years.

If we want to use the creation of the earth as a starting point, we have 4,540,000,000 years.
